We announced at a recent Avalon HOA meeting that Parmley, Juniper’s chemical company, has been sold to True Green. I’m sure you all know that Parmley applied all the fertilizer, weed killer, and insect control to our lawns on a monthly basis. They did an excellent job, with most residents being pleased with their work.
Several years ago when Juniper, then Arroyo, was looking for a new chemical company, we had a discussion at an HOA meeting. It was said then that True Green was unacceptable. One of the main reasons then, and now, was that they only serviced the property every other month. Also residents that used them in the past were not pleased with their service. That’s when Parmley was selected.
As far as a new company to replace Parmley, Juniper has their own division doing those services. After meeting with their group supervisor, we decided to go with them. There are several reasons for that selection. First they will continue with monthly service, most months doing two to three days of service to our homes. They also use the same method of applications as Parmley, using a tank truck carrying the chemicals and hoses used to spray those chemicals.That means no heavy riding equipment on the lawns, destroying the grass. They also seemed very knowledgeable in the use of the proper chemicals at the right times of the year. I think we have made an excellent choice. Only time will tell.
